2021 Rapha Festive 500 IS HERE!

Every year the team at Rapha presents the popular “Rapha Festive 500” Challenge. And every year a few CMC members take on this challenge…except over the year it has become more than just a few crazies!

So this year we thought we’d encourage our members to join in this challenge by adding a little spice of our own. We are hosting the “CMC/Rapha Festive 500” – a challenge-within-a-challenge where will keep track of our members and friends participating in the Rapha 500 on a separate leaderboard, and report back via our social media on their progress.

Awards will go to:

  • Least number of rides to 500km
  • Most number of rides to 500km
  • Most elevation for 500km
  • Highest average speed / shortest time in the saddle
  • Lowest average speed / longest time in the saddle

All just for some good fun and to really earn that Christmas lunch and New-years feast!

We can’t really say it better. This is a Rapha challenge, so please follow their rules as stipulated on the link above (and remember to join the official Rapha challenge as well!).

  • Hand cycle
  • Ride
  • Virtual Ride

As for the CMC-focussed challenge – anyone can enter at no cost. Regardless of team, club affiliation or fitness level.
Everyone is welcome to join us. Just ride, have fun while doing it and check the result on the leaderboard. Simple!

Results will be available on the website as activities are uploaded to Strava.

Safety

This cannot be stressed enough. BE SAFE. No event or challenge is worth getting injured over. Obey the rules of the road. Wear a helmet. Consider traffic and other road users. In short – be sensible out there!
